Black-crowned Sparrow-lark, Yotvata, Eilot region, Israel. November 11th, 2010.
Some belated posts to come from the recent and highly successful Birdfinders Autumn trip to Israel. This Black-crowned Sparrow-lark, a major rarity in the country, was found by Itai Shani on November 3rd and thankfully stuck around until at least the 11th when our entire group enjoyed good views at close range. The bird was in the 'magical' circular fields of Yotvata.
Gracious thanks to tour participant Steve Cawthray who initially picked up this bird on the 11th.
