graellsii Turner's Falls, MA
and I really didn't know what to make of this beast below............
Made the short run up to Turner's Falls in late afternoon finding small numbers of gulls resting on the ice at Barton Cove either side of the open water in the middle of the channel. Among them this close Lesser Black-back and a second-cycle Kumlien's Iceland Gull. Pine Grosbeak, Ruby-crowned Kinglet and Brown Creeper were again in Unity Park, all singles.
From the apartment this morning, Common Redpoll, Pine Siskin, Pine Grosbeak (2), and a singing Carolina Wren - quite amazing!
