Ruff. Adult, Garst Road, Salton Sea, Imperial County, CA. September 20th, 2009.
We find Ruffs every year on our tour loop through California in September with Birdfinders. This year was no exception with an adult found at the end of Garst Road, Southern Salton Sea on September 20th. Most frequently we come across adults in the Salton Sea area, but occasionally we find juveniles as well, usually around Moss Landing and Elkorn Slough in Monterey County.
