Turner's Falls has finally turned up a
Kumlien's Iceland Gull in what has to be the slowest start to the winter gull season that I've known since I started watching the area regularly in 2005. The power canal has hosted a first-cycle bird for the last two evenings, and almost certainly the same bird was first noted by David Moon on December 8th. These shots were taken on an incredibly balmy, foggy evening with unseasonably warm temperatures.
