Elegant Trogon - male, Upper Madera Canyon, Santa Cruz Co., AZ. July 24th, 2010. Another one from last year's Arizona tour with Birdfinders. Much sought-after in the canyons of SE Arizona - when a bird looks like this is it any surprise? After an extended search along the Vault Mine Trail in Upper Madera Canyon, this stunning male posed for minutes quite unconcerned by our presence. JPS
